why is it called PELTY
When we had to choose a name for our project we wanted it to be original, short, easy to remember and pronounce in both Italian and English. We thought about the “Peltier cooler”, the true technological heart of the device, what really turns fire into music, and than the name Pelty just seemed like the most natural and perfect choice!
PELTY in everyday life
Pelty is an elegant device with a refined taste, perfect for all those who don’t think technology needs batteries, chargers, wires and electrical plugs. It will surprise your friends, make your place more charming and create the perfect atmosphere at the right moment: all music lovers will be pleased by the excellent audio performance and design enthusiasts will admire the originality of design and the quality of every material.
Thanks to bluetooth technology no wires of any kind are involved, so the essential design of Pelty can fully shine. It is a beautiful and elegant object with a clear touch of Italian style, which emerges from the accurate choice of high quality materials. Furthermore, thanks to the simplicity of its use, you can take it everywhere you want and create a warm, unique atmosphere for your special moments.
PELTY and technological evolution
Common wireless devices for music reproduction may do their job, but they all look the same: cold, digital objects, made of metal and plastic, detached by our physical perceptions. Such impersonal features have nothing to do with music, an ageless way to speak to our emotions and deepest feelings. Whether we enjoy it intimately or we share it with a group of good friends, the warm nature of music finds its best representation in the fire of an oil lamp.
made in italy
The willing to favour natural materials with technical features that would better suit Pelty’s identity led to choose ceramic, an excellent thermal insulant with great heat resistance which is also beautifully crafted by local artisans. Thanks to the variety of resources and skills that can be found within the Italian territory, PELTY ceramics are produced in a lab in Milan, the glass parts are forged in Lodi and the assembly process takes place not far from Milan.
